Does anyone have experience with the William Street dorm?

Comments

It's a weird place; for some reason it never really felt like a dorm to me, but more like a bunch of people thrown together living in apartment-like quarters. The rooms are (generally) pretty big, but watch out if you live in the 'open' room (no barrier between your living space and the kitchen, basically). The building itself seemed to me to have a weird unfriendly vibe, but that might just have been me.

The financial district is kind of a crappy place to live, 'cause everything closes at 7 PM, it gets extremely dark and windy in wintertime (those tall buildings block out the sun and create wind tunnels), there are businessmen everywhere, no good grocery stores around, and the train's packed.

If you have a lot of friends also living at William Street it might make the experience better. Otherwise, it's not really worth it. It's also an incredibly expensive place to live (over $1300 a month when I lived there in 2007).
i was an RA there for two years. feel free to message me with any questions.

i check this community about once every few months, so sorry for the late response.
